414 days — That’s how long I have waited for this moment. If I were any less of a man I would have cut my arm off 78 times by now. Instead I have spent the last 13 and a half months of my life preparing for this very day. For this day is the day my torment ends, the day everything has fallen into place and I can finally play
Lethal Enforcers
I can’t put into words the overwhelming sensation of achievement and sheer elation that raced through my veins as I blasted an overtly 80’s bad guy in the face. It has been such a long time since I have used the Konami Justifier but its true what they say – No matter what you do with your hands, they never forget the Justifier.
Lethal Enforcers is, in my opinion, the best arcade shooter around. It is true that there are faster, flashier and more advanced shooters out there but none quite have the same appeal and charm of Lethal Enforcers. The combination of the realistically modeled Justifier and the use of images of people, instead of the arcade like figures of say Time Crisis, deliver a truly gritty experience.
The ultimate goal is to make it to the rank of “Commander” by being accurate with your shots and under no circumstances can you shoot a fellow officer of the law, an innocent spectator or a tramp. Shooting one of your colleagues, or a mentalist who has come out to watch the Feds in gun fight, will instantly get you demoted. This will result in you having to replay the level until you get it right.
If there is anything wrong with this game it is that the gun, albeit mighty, can be a bit inaccurate. This coupled with the games unforgiving stance on lethally enforcing the innocent can result in some mild frustration and plenty of swearing. However if you take away this tiny flaw you are left with an absolute gem of a game.
If you only play one light gun shooter in your entire life, make sure its this one!
EAT LEAD!!!
